This adorable AQHA filly, Dun Got It Going On, or Misty, almost did not have a happy story. Her mother, Dun Beet The Storm, aka Sara, is by the Froelich Legacy Quarter Horse sire Goldun Poco Storm, a Reserve World Champion grulla colored stallion and she is out of a beautifully bred, amazing sorrel ranch mare, War Lena Express.
Sara was bred to Be a Diamond Someday, a son of Dash for Perks, to produce a barrel racing prospect and then through a series of sad circumstances, wound up in the kill pen in Louisiana. Karell Reader was hunting the sales list for a ICSI recipient mare for her mare, when this sweet soul popped up on the webpage with one day left before she shipped to the holding pens on the border. Sara found a soft landing with the Readers and little Misty, is the wonderful bonus.
