Sweet Rubicon V is a very pretty young mare with great show potential. She is a full sister to Mac A Million V, who began his show career in 2024 with multiple first place ribbons in western pleasure. Her 3/4 sister Anastasia Mac V is a Top Ten AWPA Maturity Western Pleasure winner. She is closely related to Canadian National Champion Western Pleasure Junior Horse El Dorado Mac V, who is by Major Mac V out of a *Jullyen El Jamaal daughter-Sweet Rubicon V is by Major Mac V out of a *Jullyen El Jamaal granddaughter.
Although many of her close relatives are western pleasure stars, we feel that Sweet Rubicon V also has talent for the sport horse division. Her excellent shoulder angle and strong hindquarter give her wonderful impulsion and length of stride suitable for dressage and western dressage. She has a long, elegant, well-set neck which will bridle up beautifully.
Sweet Rubicon V's sire Major Mac V has sired 85% champions from his shown get. In the three National shows held thus far in 2024, six of get have won Reserve National Championships in ranch rail pleasure and sport horse in hand, as well as Top Ten awards in hunter type sport horse under saddle, hunt pleasure, western dressage and ranch horse riding. Major Mac V is a paternal brother to National Champion Western Pleasure and multiple National Champion Western Sidesaddle Tsamurai Mac+//, to National Champion Western Pleasure Merry Mac V, to multiple National Champion Western Pleasure Justin Mac V+//, to multiple National Champion Dressage Excalibur DDF+ and to National Champions in sport horse in hand, sport horse under saddle, working hunter and trail.
Sweet Rubicon V's dam is Sweet Shenandoah V, a paternal sister to National Champions and National Champion producers. Sweet Shenandoah V comes from one of the strongest dam lines at Varian. Sweet Shenandoah V’s 3/4 sister C Est La V won two U.S. National Championships in halter in 2017. Her paternal siblings have won multiple National Championships in western pleasure, hunt pleasure, working cow horse and dressage. Sweet Shenandoah V is by U.S. Reserve National Champion Futurity Colt Audacious PS, five of whose get have won 2024 National titles. Their achievements include National Championships in western pleasure and sport horse under saddle, a Top Ten in dressage type sport horse in hand, and multiple Top Ten awards in dressage type sport horse under saddle and hunt pleasure. The Audacious PS grandson Mozambique V++++// was the top winning purebred at the 2024 Canadian Nationals with four National Championships in western dressage, two in first level dressage, and a Reserve National Championship in ranch riding. He now has a total of 38 National titles!
Sweet Shenandoah V is out of western pleasure junior horse champion Sequoia Jullyen V, a full sister to 5 champions including U.S. Reserve National Champion Western Pleasure Futurity Sahara Jewel V, Top Ten Reining and Working Cow Horse Sausalito Jullyen V and Top Ten Western Pleasure and Performance Halter Shiloh Jullyen V. Sequoia Jullyen V's sire *Jullyen El Jamaal is the top champion siring son of U.S. National Champion Stallion Ali Jamaal. Sweet Shenandoah V's maternal granddam, Varian Hall Of Fame Broodmare Sweet Sanadika V, is one of the breed's all time top champion producing mares. Of her 15 registered offspring, 14 are champions and 7 won National titles. Of her 5 offspring with progeny, four are champion producers and 3 have produced National winners. Sweet Rubicon V is bred to be both a National winning show horse and a producer of National winners!
